Default Good stuff for removing gel coat/resin by hand

I have this 40' of 1 inch wide glass that a fiberglass strip was pulled of -
leaving behind various combinations of crud, old resin, gel coat, and glass
fragments.

Tried sandpaper, sanding blocks, hand wire brush, small rotary wire brush, and
maybe a couple of other methods I can't recall at the moment.

All had control problems, insufficient removal speed, and/or clogging issues.

I'm guessing that many in the group already know this, but just in case there's
somebody else like me out there...

At Home Depot, I stumbled on to "Norton WallSand Screens" 4 3/16" x 11 1/4",
120 grit. The stuff is for smoothing drywall.

Works like magic on resin/fiberglass: aggressive removal, good control, little
or no clogging, and each piece seems to last a very long time.

Just thought I'd pass it on....
