Sorry southerners, but this poll is for northern boaters only.
Answer these questions:
1. Is your boat in the water and/or ready to go?
Been sailing since the last week of April.
2. How much time did you spend prepping your boat for launch?
I had some winter projects that I did at home, including laminating a new custom
tiller out of teak. I tried to find a company to do this, but once I sent them a
photo of what I wanted, they all stopped replying to my emails. It's an unusual
design. The actual time at the boat before launch included installing the new
stuff. The bottom gets done every other year, and this was not the year. I spent
probably a total of 16-20 hours at the boat yard all inclusive.
3. What exactly did you do/have done to the boat to prep it?
Other than upgrades, all I did was uncover the boat, wash it with plain water,
apply two maintenance coats of Poliglow. That was about 4 hours.
4. Did you do it yourself or contract it out?
I do everything myself. As usual, I was the first sailboat in the water at my
marina. There were a few small center console fishing boats in before me.
5. What size is your boat?
Just right!
Terry & Skipper, Clearlake Texas
You must be from Northern Texas.
Nope! Connecticut. This is usenet, remember?
Terry & Skipper, Clearlake Texas
OK, but is it Northern Connecticut?
