I don't know if muskrats fall into the same biological group as rats,
mice, squirrels, beavers, etc......but a lot of those animals are
compelled to chew almost constantly. Their teeth never stop growing,
(sort of like fingernails), and they have to gnaw on everything in
sight to keep their teeth from becoming so long that no food could get
between them.

I understand that, I'm still surprised that they'd choose such a petro
chemical laced chew toy as opposed to wood and such.
