Out of curiosity, I typed in "Harry Krause imaginary boat" and it appears
that this is not the first boat Harry has made up. Their were posts going
back to 1999. It was hard to figure out all the details, and I really
didn't want to spend any time on it, but it appears that he said he had a T1
modem on his boat, and that is how he was able to make so many posts to
rec.boats.
You do have to admire his determination to stick to a story no matter how
outrageous it is.

Certainly you remember Creaky, he had the exact same IP address as you
do,
made his first post in alt.test to see how his posts looked. He then
came
to rec.boats to ask you if you had a 35' Lobster boat, he thought he saw
you
on the Chesapeake Bay, and wanted to tell you he purchased gas at the
same
marina you do, and drink beer in the same bar you do. He spent a few
days
chit chatting with you, discussing where you boat and how wonderful your
boat looked. As soon as someone pointed out to you that you and Creaky
had
the exact same IP address, he suddenly disappeared from Usenet, never to
be
seen again.

In looking up Harry and Lobster boat on Google, it appears that Harry
came
up with a "Sock Puppet" to state he bumped into Harry and his lobster
boat
on the Chesapeake. Anyone who makes up poorly disguised alias to
convince

This from an asswipe whose handle is the fake name every guy uses when
checking into a cheap motel with someone else's wife?
Wow. Now that was interesting. It's funny, the time I ran into Harry in
the
marina, and raved about his new Parker, he never once mentioned owning
another
boat in the area. Strange.
