That "met with the enemy" idea is kinda weird, John. The North Vietnamese
weren't our enemy until a bunch of suits (who you'd probably have very
little respect for, and who quietly vanished from public life) came up
with
the domino theory. If I move next store to you, and stop by & say "Hi.
You're my enemy, although I know you've done absolutely nothing to me",
you'd think I was out of my mind. But, that's exactly what we did in VN.


I've said nothing about agreeing or disagreeing with the VN war.

Well, you said you consider Kerry & Fonda to be in the same category. The
standard reason we hear is that Fonda met with the enemy. Is that correct?


Perhaps 'pretended to shoot down American aircraft' would be more
appropriate than 'met'.
