While Nutsy goes ON & ON about lenses, most of us do get very decent
photographs for about 40 cents or less. Nutsy, with all his expensive
equipment does it for about $500.00 or more.
I can carry my Camera in my pocket. Nutsy has several he can carry in
his pocket. Difference of cost;---Plenty
I store my camera on a Dock, which is a charger and printer; Lord only
knows just how and where Nutsy maintains and stores his Equip.
Am I happy with my set-up YES! Is Nutsy happy with his Yes! Could I use
his set-up effectively? I don't think so. Can Nutsy use his set-up
effectively--- Good Question? Jury is still out.
To Each his own. I'm sure we're both happy. I am glad I can use his
expert knowledge ( Which I don't have) to my advantage.
Now that said; Camera and Equip. be Damned. Weather out here in the NW
is just about perfect. It's sailing weather. GO SAILING if you can

Thom:
Everyone's life has an underlying "theme". It's what they are and there is
no escape. Nutsy has a "racing" sailboat - will he ever race it? No, he just
brags about it. He's got these super duper AWD SUV's. Will they ever be used
to their potential? No? He has all this camera equipment. Are his pictures
that good? No. He has a big telescope - in a pollution shrouded wasteland.
The list just goes on and on.
These material possessions are substitutes for something he can never have.
It's all symbolic for what is wrong at Nutsy's core. That's why I out troll
him every time. That's why he has to fight to justify everything about his
life, including his hodge podge of also-ran camera gear. He's seeking
validation from everyone but not from the one person who can truly give it.
That's why his telescope is third rate and his boat is one huge blister
devoid of character. If his home theater set up was any more hokey he'd be
better off with a viewmaster and 45 RPM records. He will have all of
eternity to contemplate amongst the fires and lava in hell why his life on
earth has led him to the sulphurous netherworld below.
