Default Morse Control adjust.

In article .com,
says...
I have a 37 foot albin, twin stations. My main helm idles down to 600
RPM's, and I can not get the fry bridge to idle down pass 1000. I think
there may be a problem with the morse control level, but I'm really not
sure. Does anybody have any suggestion of how I could get it down to
600 also? I would greatly appreacite it.Thanks in advance.

Several possibilities:

Either station's grease may be getting gummy or friction adjustment too
tight.

If your upper controls don't feel sticky, then it could be a simple
cable length (or stop) adjustment on the upper or lower station.

If the remote station is sticky then cables could be binding at tight
radius turns in the cable path. Worn cables can introduce slack and
make attempted adjustments more difficult.

If you'd like to make sure everything is right with the controls, it's a
pretty easy process to dismantle, clean and reassemble with new grease.
Most models also have some sort of friction adjustment for the levers.

I've done all of the above -- dis and re-assembly and replaced the
cables between upper and lower stations with new teleflex splined cables
in one long afternoon. The upper station's controls were an operator's
dream with new cables and proper adjustments.

Reduces forehead sweat bead production during docking and other tight
maneuvers.
