Wiring a fishfinder to the fuse box "Accessory" with possibly another device...

I am in the final step of installing my fishfinder and my preference
would be to connect it to the fuse box (instead of directly to the
battery) . The instructions says "it is possible to wire the unit
directly to an unused holder on your current fuse box. Just install a
2 amp fuse in the fuse holder (and remove the in-line fuse holder
supplied with the unit)".
The thing is, I have yet to install my am/fm/CD player unit and I was
also planning to connect this to the "Accessory" fuse holder. I
haven't taken the CD player out of the box yet but I am assuming the CD
player will require something bigger than 2 amp (10 or 15 amp fuse
probably)!
Is it possible to connect both devices (Fishfinder and CD player) to
the same "Accessory" fuse? If so, could I simply use a 10 or 15 amp
(whatever is required by CD player) even though the fishfinder requires
a 2 amp? I don't know about AMPs so I don't know if more is OK or if
it needs to be exactly as stated). Finallly, would I be able to use
both devices simultaneously or better to use only one at a time (if
fishfinder at ON position, keep stereo OFF and vice-versa).
As usual, thank you for your help. Andre
If the fishfinder manual says to use a 2 amp fuse, then you do NOT want it
protected by a larger fuse. Either install an inline fuse in the power line
for the fishfinder, or wire it to its own spot at the fuse box.
