Even properly installed replacement plugs are not allowed since it is no
longer a factory cord. Of course that doesn't mean it doesn't happen
all of the time.
That's interesting. I've seen them cite for frayed and worn cord,
loose original cord ends, and loose attachment at the device, but
never for a properly repaired cord set. I guess there's nothing
stopping one from overstepping their bounds.
