Do you ever rev the engine up and shut it off while it's running at
high speed? If you do, you can get water in that way. Beleave it or
not, if you shut an engine down suddenly while at high RPM's it can
take a few turns in the opposite direction when it winds down, drawing
water into the exhaust.
