Sailing in St Lucia

KRJ,
Thanks for the tips. I'm sure there's plenty we could do with a longer
trip, but we're also staying a while in St Lucia (7 days) and I just
wanted to be able to explore a little more. I've never sailed before,
so mainly it was just to learn with a skipper present and not feel
locked in at a resort.
If you only have 5-7 days and want to sail, sail out of Castries or
Rodney Bay up to Fort de France, Martinique (33 nmi, leave at 8am be
there at 2pm). Next day sail back to St Lucia, Marigot Bay. Have dinner
at Doolittle's. BTW a lot of the movie Dr. Doolittle was filmed in
Marigot bay. Next day sail to the Pitons, get a mooring ball. Get a boat
boy to take you to Soufriere Town. He will also have a brother, cousin,
etc with a van to take you to the drive in volcano, tour Soufriere Town,
hike up to the falls. Next day sail up to Castries. Last day sail around
then back to Rodney Bay. Don't miss the botanical gardens in St. Lucia.
