Default Caulk recommendations...

I'm not re-caulking now, but I sure do appreciate a good set of
instructions. Thank you!!

In that case, you will need to

1) run masking tape along the top and bottom of the rubrail.
2) remove the rubrail entirely
3) put a little bit "too much" caulk between the strips of masking tape
where the rubrail will be replaced
4) reinstall the rub rail, allowing excess caulk to squeeze out onto
the tape
5) strip away the tape before the caulk begins to "set" to create a
clean, crisp edge
