"Crestliner" uses 3/4 inch plywood for its flooring. The reason I know this
is because I have removed a "Crestliner" floor to re-carpet it. 3/4 inch
plywood is fine. As to what effect it had on mine I'll never know as I did
the whole thing before I even put the boat in the water for the first time.

Don't use 3/4" plywood or it will be too heavy when finished.

Has anyone successfully built the floor for aluminum boat? Any web site
that
teaches you how to do it?
I have a cheap basic 15' boat with benches, is it dangerous to get rid
of
the benches? or should I just build the floor leaving the benches there?
or
is it better to sell the boat and buy another one?
Any help or recommendation would be appreciated.
