You have obviously never been to a slaughter house since to the best of my
knowledge they do not provide "tours" nor allow the public access to the
area.

When you *assume* such things, you make an *ass* of "*u*. Nuf said. Last
time you contended that I had no knowledge of sword fighting, which was of
course incorrect. Now you're making another such assumption, which is
equally ignorant on your part. One of my closer friends is a retired
veterinarian who part-times as a meat inspector to keep himself out of the
house. I've accompanied him to three slaughterhouses. Now, don't you feel
stupid? You should.

Next thing you'll be telling me they gave you a tour of a Chicken Farm
producing eggs..... see if you can even get access to the building. My
roomate was working at a slaughterhouse in Edmonton as supervisor. I
actually saw what the operations were. In my opinion your comments are at
best naieve and obtained second hand.

In my opinion your opinion is based on little more than ignorant bias.

Max... you have never viewed a harp seal harvest....

Not personally, but the films I've seen of it were more than sufficient.
And I really don't give a rat's ass if they take white coats or not. The
process is inhumane and should be ended or modified. Shoot the animals, or
use humane killers, but to club them, skin them alive, and allow them to
suffer a lingering death is by any reasonable definition inhumane. If you
can't see that, you're morally bankrupt.

nor have you been in a slaughter house... maybe you thought the packing
plant was where the did the killing?

Assumptions, Mooron, really will be your undoing.

There is no major difference between a commercial slaughter house and a
seal harvest or the indiscriminate netting by commercial fishing Max....
large scale commercial harvest of any animal is prone to adhere to the
bottom line... expediency, efficency, profit!

Hogwash. Slaughterhouses kill the animals before they skin and butcher
them. And I can't say I'm fond of butchering fish while they are still
alive. But fish are food, not strictly pelts for wealthy Europeans. The
oceans feed the masses. I'd have no problem with the seal harvests, were
they done humanely.

So lay off the skinned pups baying woefully on an ice flow in minus 35c
for hours as their mothers attempted to comfort them ****! Try logic for a
spell instaed of your emotionally based second hand propoganda that you
have never actually witnessed. Think Flash Freeze.... Seriously... engage
your brain before your mouth.

So, you're saying the film of the harp seal pups, lying in red snow with
their mothers hovering, is a fabrication? Are you contending the filmmakers
dubbed-in the baying of the pups? I wonder how they got the skinned pups to
raise their heads and open their mouths to coincide with the baying sounds
they dubbed.

Now I'll repeat this since you "Save the Seals" people are subject to
selective hearing problems.... If you want to stop sounding like an
Hysterical 18 year old PETA activist... try some common sense in your
arguments next time.

I'm hardly a PETA anything. I oppose that organization at every
opportunity. But the seal harvest is inhumane. Perhaps it is the cute,
dog-like appearance of the pups that makes it so hard to swallow, but there
are other ways to harvest wild animals that insure they don't suffer
needlessly. Fact is, the seal harvesters are too ****ing lazy to employ
those methods. "We've done it that way for decades, and we're not about to
change."

Ban the Seal Harvest.... Ban Large Scale Commercial Farming.... Ban All
Whaling of any species.... and All Commercial Fishing in North American
Waters... but most important... Ban Whiney Ill-Informed Suburban Dwelling
Green Activists who depend on all of the above. That's what I'm in favour
of.

I'm generally in favor of nuking Nova Scotia. g

Let the small family owned inshore fishermen ply their trade in peace but
take out the mega corps raping the ocean. Let the small scale farmer
provide for the packing plants.

Seals... "cute"... Bwahahahahahahaa... you've never been near a seal Max.
[Okay maybe at the zoo]. I've killed several and eaten the flesh raw.

You be da man, Mooron.
Bwaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah ahah!!!!!!!!!!
What a macho-speaking putz.

BTW- This year the ice conditions will contribute to the drowning deaths
of more white coats than the last 5 year quota combined.

So you're saying that if nature kills off a number of them, it must be okay
to do so by inhumane methods, right? That's just brilliant.
