Default South Florida Salt Water Crocs (crocodiles) NOT ALLIGATORS

I see all these beware signs posted around the Byscane Bay in all the
Park boat ramps, to beware of Crocs. While in Everglades national park
last week I saw to very big looking salt crocs out by the banks...

As somebody whos new to the area. I just bought a small boat and was
planning on taking my two sons (5 and 3) on the boat in the bay. I was
hoping to do some swimming in bay waters .. as I've seen a few water
skiers and wave boarders off the back of boats..

Will a Salt Croc ever attack in open water in the bay? even a small
child?

Also, I heard a few years back a sewer line broke and contaminated the
Bay pretty bad. Is that all clean-up? Where does that sewer line run
through anyway? Any recommend safe/clean spots in the bay (closer to
land and not Elliot key) to anchor and swim ? I've been out a few
times and the waters as you approach Turkey point seem real clear,
though kinda grassy.
