I got a similar story from the Vacuflush salesman and the Newport RI
boat show a year and a half ago. They didn't trash the LectraSan so
much as claim its incompatible...

It's not at all incompatible. In fact, Raritan provides specific
instructions for installing a Lectra/San with a VacuFlush.
