Default City Island Boat Yard Fire

It was started by a faulty DLP projector installation in the yacht house
during a viewing of the movie "Through Dead Eyes". Fortunately, the
sleeping camera operator was the only one in attendance and he escaped
with minor injuries. The fire quickly spread but would have been
contained if not for igniting the gas tank of a Subaru Tribeca. The
ensuing fireball enveloped surrounding boats in the yard. The
communications equipment of the fire department was jammed by defective
hull moisture detector that was left on by an unlicensed Marine Surveyor.
One fireman suffered electrocution when a portable defibrillator aboard a
boat he was extinguishing was set off. This one boat took several hours to
extinguish due to the large amount of XXXL nylon woman's undergarments and
child pornography discovered aboard the boat. Fireman commented that the
flames would have been much worse if there were actual sails aboard.
Further down the line, a Pearson 28 exploded when flames reached the
Atomic 4 engine. When the nameplate of the Atomic 4 landed near the fire
marshall, he picked it up and called in homeland security. Boat yard fire
fighting equipment was not stowed in its proper place. Apparently, it had
been used to create a mud wrestling pit for a low grade titallation movie
involving Russian women. The entire conflagration was filmed by a crew
from Skorpio Productions, who happened to be on site filming a feature
film for a high, but undislosed fee. A damage assessment given by the
unlicensed Marine Surveyor concluded, "The damage is estimated to be worth
about three times my coin collection but not quite as much as my two
Subarus and three rental apartments. The fire was quite tragic, but Thomas
squealed with surprise every time a fireball erupted."
