The GOP has always embraced REAL Conservative values as best expressed by

Goldwater was an isolated KOOK. He was in a mental hospital twice, married
into money twice and came from a wealthy family. He couldn't earn a dime on
his own. Look at all those big water projects he got for Arizona, he was not
a fiscal conservative at all. The biggest laugh is that Yosuf Karsch photo
of Goldwater with the cowboy hat, shotgun and lawn furniture in the
background!! What a fake! Thank God he didn't get elected, we would have
been entangled in VietNam and the Cold War would have dragged on for another
30 years. Bush has humble roots and is a religious family man. He has
inherited a broken military from Clinton (why couldn't fighter planes
scramble in our own country in 30 minutes?), a motivated terrorist enemy
(The Cole, barracks bombings, Somalia, WTC all on Clinton's watch), a
decadent, un-Christian society (Enron). Bush is doing a great job of turning
back the overflowing sewer that Clinton left behind. FYI the percentage of
GDP that Bush's budget consumes is still much less than the budgets of other
presidents. The OMB projections show the deficiet being eliminated within 15
years. Bush: In your heart you know he's right!
