They do, sometimes take papers home, but they also get one
Monday/month off as student free days.
After school meetings are rare unless you are one of the
senior
teachers in which case you are paid substantially more.

Why? They only teach 4.5 to 5 hrs each day, plenty of time
for lesson
planning during school hours, and after the first year,
they just dish
up the same lessons as last year.

Sounds like Oz teachers are coasting through it, showing up
and just going through the motions. No wonder your country
is still so far behind the US.
