Well, here it is everyone. Sunday morning April 4th. The day has finally come
to move on for good. I will no longer be part of "rec.boats" (or
"wrecked.boats" as I always liked to jokingly call it).
I have found a few other newsgroup forums to my liking and did some research on
a variety of forums only to learn that the general feeling towards "rec.boats"
is that it is ruined and people no longer want to post here, or have left in a
huff (kind of like what I am doing now).
The following thread (verbal enchange beween Harry Krause and myself) has
finally made me see the light and decide to move on.

I think so too... It's a free country and people can visit any NG they want.
I only come back here randomly. The other places are way better, more
informative, and they have a separate OT area.
I did some research and found that the general consensus regarding
"rec.boats"
is that it is ruined and beyond repair. It's really sad.... There were a
lot
of good people on here over the years, and they have left.

Nice insult! Has it ever occurred to you that **YOU** are the one responsible
for ruining this NG? You old cantankerous, bitter old man!!!!! Don't get me
started, because I have always believed "if you don't have anything nice to
say, don't say anything at all". BUT...... in your case, I am so tempted to
unload on you with both barrels. But, I won't stoop that low.
