I did Max....nice place to visit......

The Tahoe area has some great skiing, and the scenery is beyond reproach.
I
haven't skied any of those resorts since my pro ski patrol days, when I
made
the rounds teaching explosives and avalanche control to patrols at three
of
the ski areas there. We plan to ski Canada (BC) this coming December, and
make a side trip to one of the Tahoe areas, but haven't decided which yet.

Yep, Tahoe is pretty cool, I can highly recommend Sierra (my son's
planning on applying for an instructors job there next winter during
his summer Uni break)
Where are you going in BC?

We've already booked into the Fairmont. We have several options for
skiing--haven't decided yet, or may try them all. We're mostly going for
the scenery and the hotel--we hear it's magnificent at holiday time.

Spoke to a mate on Monday and he's invited me to come along on a
blokes ski trip next winter.
He owns a condo in Whistler so we'll be doing those two mountains
mostly and will be there after Xmas and first 2 weeks of
January....not the best time but ......

Busy time, but the snow should be pretty fair. I like Whistler a lot.
