Here here.
This started with Skipper's position that all areas, including yours
are inferior to the sea of Cortez.
We all know that's not true. If that was his troll, and anybody bit on
it, they deserve what they get.
Besides, this isn't about Harry,
this is about Skipper constantly trolling. This is about somebody that
continues to post as an aficionado for what he feels is culture...
recently, the reality of the Sea of Cortez has hit home and during the
cooling-off-period the fad is shotguns and sporting clays. The brags
are many thousand dollar trophy guns that are 99% collected and 1%
used.... pretty much like Skipper's imaginary boat. No real hunter
would be caught dead with one of those things until he painted it over
with camouflage.. but then, this isn't about function... this is about
form.
I don't know about that, but what I have boating-related threads I
have read from both, Skipper and Krause, I would Krause is the one
with the imaginary boat.
In the past, he has recommended boats and boating strategies that were
dangerous and irresponsible. Newbies read what is posted here and
assume that if a frequent poster takes their Bayliner out into 30 foot
waves (or whatever), it's probably ok for them too.
I only recently lifted all my kill file entries. I have not yet seen
any "over the top" recommendation or boating strategies from Skipper.
(feel free to link them if you wish, and I will give them a read) But
I have heard ridiculous boating claims, and flagrant lies from Krause.
Look at the reality... and that is what my post called into question:
reality of doing something vs. being desperately desirous, yet unable
to do something... in this case, actually get a boat wet. Both of us
really have a boat and have posted pictures and related stories of
boat use. Skipper has done neither, nor has he done anything to make
me believe that he has ANY boating experience except the one ill-fated
trip trailering 3300 miles to the Sea of Cortez when he burned up his
trailer axles and brakes.
I cant agree 100%. I have seen posts from him that would indicate he
not only has (or had) a boat, but also possesses some experience that
cant be faked. I have not seen this from Krause...in fact...just the
opposite.
However, he continues to try to post as an
expert and belittle other's boats and areas of boating. He posts
neither facts nor supporting evidence for his outrageous claims.
I will admit I don't read every post here. I have a life, and have
better things to do than live on a Usenet group, but I will try to
keep an eye on Skippers future posts.
You and I might not like Harry's politics, but I've never seen him
post information that could get a newbie boater and his family killed.
Well...I'm actually a Democrat, but its douche bags like Krause that
make all of us look bad. Posting propaganda, fabricating lies, name
calling, and mud-slinging are tools of the dim-witted, that cant
debate/argue effectively.
But that's ALL I'm saying about that...this is NOT the group for
political discussion.
Take care Gene.
