Without malice, I, too, would point out that Kansas is the worst

By the same token, there are some very nice (and large) bodies of
water there, suitable for some nice boating.
Certainly, one should hold onto one's dreams... ever working towards
their fruition... however, when the dream truly and rationally appears
beyond one's grasp and the mixture of dream and reality becomes one...
Well, one could also say "to each their own". I get to the east coast
at least a couple times a year, and quite regularly boat off the
"North Coast" here in Ohio, but I can have just as much fun, on any
color of water.
And yes, larger bodies of water can offer more to those who require
that need, but that just depends on the person. One of my best
friends, who has been an avid skier for 40 years, is perfectly content
on a smallish river, every single day, never wishing to go anywhere
else. I would put his boating skills/knowledge against anybody here.
I think it was Krause who claimed that "flat water" and "lake and
river" boaters were somehow inferior to ocean going boaters. I still
haven't figured that one out yet...I guess he thinks it harder to
launch/dock a boat when there is salt in the water, or some silly crap
like that.
Oh well, hardly anything of any substance has ever come out of his
mouth in the past, so I guess its just par for the course.
