Long history of that, but not limited to the Taiwanese. Hans Christian's
design for their 38 was stolen and produced by a disgruntled former employee
under the Union 36 moniker, at least until HC sued them for specific action
(cease and desist). And today China reproduces nearly every piece of the
free world's software, DVDs, and CDs without license. Not to mention Rolex
and just about every other high-end Swiss watch. Yet we still trade with
them as if nothing is amiss. Oh, except the rather skewed trade imbalance.
