Jim,
Try the MJs. Took about 10 days to get them back from MJ after they ground
the lenses but for scrip glasses they sure are superior. I've been wearing
scrip sunglasses for too many years but so far, none as nice as the MJs.

Last summer I got a pair of MJ trifocals. I'll never admit how much I
paid for them but it was shocking. Getting the laser surgery then
wearing nonscrip glasses would be cheaper than replaceing them twice.
Sure do like them though!! Guess I have to, no? :=)

I need to upgrade my crappy sunglasses now that we are back into
boating.
The last nice pair I had ended up in Lake Erie 2 years ago while on
a cruise
on our friends Lyman.
Who makes a decent pair of polarized sunglasses with glass lenses?
I think
my last pair was a Sunglass Hut proprietary brand......no longer
available.
My eyes are pretty sensitive to sunlight. Any suggestions?
Maui Jim.
Go to sunglass hut, pick out your style, then buy 'em on ebay.
Too damned expensive retail.
Sheesh. Two dozen posts of crap, and only jps and I answered Jim's
question.
BTW--I like Costa Del Mar more than Maui Jim's.
Thanks for the suggestions. I do have a Sunglass Hut near me and plan
to take a look at their collection. Gander Mountain carries the Costa
Del Mar brand and I will stop there tomorrow.
Nice tip jps.....I will do that after I find the pair that works for
me.
Tried both the Maui Jim and Costa Del Mar brands and liked the MJ's
better (Big Island style).
$320 with sales tax at Sunglass Hut.
Purchased them today on Ebay for $220 including shipping and insurance.
Brand new with registration and case.
You can't beat Ebay!
Got them the other day and finally got a chance to use them today (been
at home the last couple of days).
Wow. They fit great and the view is crisp and clear through them. I
drove into the sun with them on today (mid morning) and did the trick.
Thanks for all the great advice. ;-)
I just got on an insurance program for eye care. It allows for one set
of prescription glasses/year with a minimal copay.
I plan to have a set of script sunglasses made as a 2nd pair after my
annual eye exam sometime in the next month or so.
