I find it of more than passing interest that people on either extreme

political spectrum use "liberal" and "conservative" as derogatory
terms--and
display so much hate against those who might not share their
predilections.

For these people, roughly half of their countrymen are subject to their
hatred
and contempt.

And that is what is truly alarming.
