What do you mean the franchise opticians don't supply them? Do you mean
they don't supply good quality plastic lens? My wife has always purchased
her prescription glasses and sunglasses (ground plastic) from
Lenscrafter's and has never complained about distortion


Although I'm talking about non-prescription lenses here, I've heard some odd
things from friends who've gotten lenses made at Lenscrafter's and a couple
of other chains. I'll qualify this, though, and say that I have a weird
prescription, as others do, and the chains failed miserably at creating the
lenses.

This sounds like I'm now blending two ideas - the quality of the raw
material, and the accuracy of the prescription. Confusing.
