YES YES YESS on this paragraph: "Now please elaborate as to why you
are squeamish about sailing with yourhusband... other than that he is a
New Yorker and thus genetically unable tohandle any vessel properly. Is
he prone to yelling, tantrums and blaming youfor his inability and lack
of confidence? Does he lack the ability toinstil in you a confidence and
comfort while on a vessel?"
Wish I had a Bobsprit but I don't, I have a rugby player, does that tell
you anything? lucky Suzanne! where do they sail from?

Dear "I have a fear of sailing with my husband",

Although this group appears at first glance to be a sow's ear, you will find
it lined with silk... which in no way means it's a silk purse... just an
exquisitely lined sow's ear. Nonetheless.... this group has by far more
sailing oriented resources than any other NG.

Now please elaborate as to why you are squeamish about sailing with your
husband... other than that he is a New Yorker and thus genetically unable to
handle any vessel properly. Is he prone to yelling, tantrums and blaming you
for his inability and lack of confidence? Does he lack the ability to
instil in you a confidence and comfort while on a vessel?

I would suggest you contact Bobsprit on this group to take you out for a
sail. Robert is a totally house trained and obedient husband who owns an off
the rack sailboat and will never venture out of sight of land. This should
give you a benchmark to judge your own husband's status. Then you and
Roberts's wife Suzanne can decide on how to let your husband meet hers so he
can adopt some of Robert's submissive and obedient behaviour. This should go
a long way to assisting you in establishing control.
