This NG periodically has something of interest to sailors, but not very
often. I have a filter set so if there is somthing - it stands out.

You might better try alt.sailing (no asa). There is a great deal less
traffic there, but it is almost always about sailing and it is read by
people that might be interested in helping you and not venting political
propaganda or bragging about some foolish event.
