Doug,

This is the boat for you. You can cut off that keel and
put on an adjustable daggerboard, and have the coolest
boat on the East Coast.

A cool boat, but a little heavy. Too bad they didn't give

You can get carbon spars for it. Not sure it would save all that much
weight on this size, but every gram less aloft counts at least double.
This would be an awesome boat to have in NC *if* you could lift the keel
while underway, but apparently it's not designed for that. Very Cool even
so... it appears to be roomier and more comfortable than some of the other
sports boats, easier to sail, and not much slower... faster than some
