I stand by my statement. If an in-law interfered in my marriage, as this
man is attempting to do, my wife would have a hard choice to make. I
married my wife, not her parents.
I think you don't have a nutcase of a son-in-law thinking of sailing to
Hawaii with no experience and having the possibility that your daughter, if
you had one, was going with him.
