If the boat requires just one engine and outboards are available, that is
the way to go. Otherwise twin inboards.
Twin inboards when they are necessary, but there are lots of single-engine
inboard boats that do very well on one prop.
I could never quite get a good handle on maneuvering a single screw inboard.
JimH,
It is very different from a I/O, but once you learn how to take
advantage of "prop walk" it is just as easy.
