Recently I had to remove all the foam soundproofing from the inside of
my figlass motor cover as it was breaking down and going into the
carburetor intake. I would like to reinstall the foam and seek some
advice, or a website
please. I have some 20mm closed cell foam sheets if this would do the
job, or would it need to be thinner. Also, the type of glue, being
close to the heat of the motor.
thanks
Brian
The closed cell foam may melt and cause a fire. Most closed cell you
get is not very fireproof. West Marine or others have engine cover
insulation. Mine is a foil sandwich.
Thanks. I'll get some proper stuff
