The 2 lines take up more room on the cabin space & can take
more line handling to take up; the disadvantage of having
more line to pull is inherent in having more mech advantage.
Think about a 2:1 tackle versus 4:1... half the length of
line but twice as much force.

I like the concept of single line reefing but some of the
systems I've seen have too much chafe.
