carb cleaner?
not "carb cleaner" when you have water in the system. first drain the carb(s)
to remove as much water as you can. Connect to fuel tank without water in it.
Go to auto parts store and get as many cans of "Heet" (a brand new) or other
gas line dryer and pour into your fuel tank. should be okay, unless water
might still in the lines somewhere. Take care to keep water from fuel tank in
future.
"carb cleaner" is for cleaning gunked up carbs. Heet, etc is for water in the
fuel.
I heard some guys talking about some supposedly commonly available product I
think was called "tuneup" or something similar to that---for outboards in
particular.
I take it that it's used when you get water to the engine through the fuel
line (which I think I did--from an aux tank). And yes, I've already pulled
the strainer, purged the filter, etc. However, I thought i'd try a can or
bottle of whatever the stuff I was hearing about if someone can tell me what
it likely is.
