Default Sticky Float in Carburetor

I installed a fuel shut off (or just disconnect the fuel line assuming
a mechanical, not an electrical fuel pump). For storage I shut off the
fuel, put on the muffs and run the carb dry. The extra work though is
to remove each spark plug and squirt the fogging oil directly into each
cylinder ... but ... it's worth removing the plugs anyway and checking
them ... plug condition offers insight into the engine condition. And
coming out of storage, I top up the carb via the carb air vent (4 bbl)
with a cleaner, let it sit, then turn on the gas and start it up ...
1983 4 bbl .. no work done on it to date that I'm aware of. To sum up
.... store the carb dry.
