Many states require you to "register" a documented boat with the state,
but no
state can require a registration number that must be displayed as they do
with a
boat that is not federally documented. They may require a decal showing
that
you have paid the state taxes and fees.



So, what you're saying is that you don't know anything about IL and FL.
