Every day we get beyond the "old" rec.boats the better our prospects

And I'm pleasantly surprised at what an amazing transformation it has
been. Congratulations to all concerned.

We're going boating for the weekend so I'll be offline for a few days.
Hopefully the truce will still be in effect when we get back.

Our oldest son (the law student) is here with his GF and they've
decided that they'd like to ring in the new year on the boat. It
didn't take too much arm twisting to talk me into it. We'll probably
head north up Pine Island Sound towards Cayo Costa Island. Cayo Costa
and North Captiva both have long, nearly deserted beaches directly on
the Gulf of Mexico. They're great places for shelling and beach
combing in general, lots of exotic birds, and beautiful turquoise
green tropical water. People have also been known to catch some nice
Redfish and Tarpon up that way but it's early in the season for that.
Temperature forecast for the weekend is around 80 degrees, should be
nice.

Happy New Year everyone, and good boating.

And here I'm wondering if it will be warm enough to go to a driving range!

It was warm enough to walk 18 today!

Yeah, I went to the range today. Had to try out my new home-made 'woods'. Love 'em. I
should have walked 18, but had already set up a meeting at the driving range with my
'coach'.
