Default Basic Racing Query

At this point I've posted quite a few wins, not to mention the 35s5
leading the pack in races all over the world. Of course Sloco and
others just ignore most of them.
But this leads to a serious question. Considering that the 35s5 had
just over 400 hulls built, why do I find so many wins for it compared
to other hulls like the new C&C's, J's and other popular hulls. Some of
the 35s5's finish in the top few boats every time, while others,
obviously poorly sailed always trail. Naturally you can find even the
fastest boats losing consistently, but the 35s5 seems to have more than
it's fair share of wins relative to the amount of hulls built.
Here are just four more I turned up yesterday....

So...assuming that a 35s5 has a fair rating, are these wins more
attributed to the crew or the vessel? Is it safe to say that ANY boat
can win PHRF if well sailed and if so, why buy a faster more expensive
design when you can win just as easily...or more so...with a Hunter 30?
We plan to do very little racing. We only wanted a boat that was fast
and fun for local cruising and daysailing. So it really doesn't matter
if we can sail her to her rating.
So, since someone like Sloco only races, why did he bother to see out a
fast boat? Wouldn't he have been better served with something like a
Elite 326, a boat known to sail better than it's rating?
