How big is that freakin' garage you built?
Heh, heh. I am out of space. I rented a couple of storage units for the
GTO and the '46 Ford for the winter. The General is snug in a heated
garage, next to the M5.
But there's more. At the risk of really sounding like an ass ..... (but
those that know us will understand)
The reason I bought the M5 is because I was actually buying Mrs. E. a new
car, which is now sitting in the main house garage. It's a 2006 BMW 750 li.
Gorgeous car.
As the salesman was going through the paperwork process for this purchase, I
happened to notice the M5 sitting in a corner of the showroom with a bunch
of people standing around it. I wandered over, realized what it was, and
the bug hit. Turns out almost all the M5's are pre-sold (they just started
shipping them to the US this passed fall), but this one was available. One
thing led to another and we ended up picking up both cars that evening.
Both cars respond to voice commands and are bluetooth enabled for your cell
phones. All your cell phone numbers and settings are transmitted to the
car's communication system and, when you say, "Communications" they are
displayed on the car's display panel.
Say "Radio" and then "FM", then "101.5" and the system automatically tunes
the radio. Basically every adjustable feature of the car can be addressed by
voice commands, or by manual buttons, if desired. It's going to take quite
a while to figure everything out.
