This whole mess has been caused by the inability of Police to do their
jobs sorting out the relatively small gangs of people who have caused
problems in the area for years.
Courts will not backup Police and have released offenders on charges
of offencive language and behaviour because "It's normal in society
today".....thing is, it's not normal, or shouldn't be regarded as
normal to offend people, to abuse police, to shuck any authority.

I agree.


The white people in the shire rioted because they had had enough of
these middle eastern gangs coming into the area and creating friction.


The rioters I saw in the news did not look like "well-off"
people; looked like a mix of middle- and working-class men.


It could have been stopped long ago if it wasn't considered racist to
try and teach a few kids that they need to show a little respect and
manners.


The funny thing about this is that many people's (Middle
Eastern, Asian, American, etc etc) reaction against the
modern capitalist hi-tech world is the lack of respect for
tradition. Are these youths expressing "traditional cultural
values" by insulting others? How about the rioters?

In some cases it is definitely a tradition to insult &
attack others for little or no reason, but this kind of
tradition should be smothered. The world has gotten too
small for that kind of tribal attitude.
