In addition to the two obvious routes (Hudson and St. Lawrence) you
can also go inland through th Great Lakes, down the Mississippi River
and Tenn-Tom Waterway to the Gulf of Mexico. Although this is
clearly the long way around, it has become a popular cruising route
known as the Great Circle.
