You must be intellectually challanged if you think there was a
contradiction. :-) The funding changed, so if you can get past the
right wingnut rhetoric, you'd find that it made perfect sense.
Now I find out that he never did want an immediate troop withdral,
just a timetable for success.
I don't think you'll find many reasonably intelligent people who think
an immediate withdrawl would be good. We didn't even do that in VN.
Look how fast the Allies wrapped up WWII. It only took four years to
get the banks open so the family could get the finances straighten out.
Right, but of course Europe was flooded with Allied troops. Big
difference in Iraq, where we have trouble protecting a single road.
