Not quite accurate, Bart. Approximately 6 million Poles, including both
Jews
and Christians, were killed. Approximately half of the 6 million Poles
were
Jews. These numbers exclude the additional 3 million Jews transported from
Hungary, the Czech Republic and elsewhere in Europe, so about half as many
Christian Poles were murdered as Polish and non-Polish Jews. And in terms
of
percentages of the populations the numbers are nowhere near comparable.

That said, few who have visited Auschwitz will forget the photos of the
many
Poles and other Slavs on the walls.
