Not to disparage the dead, but consider this, two people together, a
49 year old guy with all his attributes, and a 26 year old gal with
all her uh "attributes"

snip

Why did you say it if you don't know what it means?

I did not say I don't know what I mean, why don't you take a SWAG at
what I mean?

snip

Getting back on point, can you please answer the question?

Getting back on point, what specifically is your question?

snip

Why did you say it if you don't know what it means?

I did not say I don't know what I mean, why don't you take a SWAG at
what I mean?

You have no clue. What is known is that they were novices, they had a guide,
they wore no PFDs, they went to a place where they should nove have been.

Yeah, I also have learned that there is usually alot more to the story
than what we have been told! So I try to read between the lines, which
is the point about a discussion group like this! None of us were there
to be making a truely informed statement, and most don't actually know
the people involved. So most all that is said is conjecture, even what
you have just stated! Did the article say they were novices? How did
you determine they were novices?

I went backcountry skiing by myself,...

What does this have to do with a couple going kayaking with a guide?

Nothing, it has to do with the original question, of why people do
stupid things! In this story a couple is kayaking, in mine, I did
stupid things. Similarity may stop there, but we can look at
ourselves, and usually find where we have also done stupid things.
Have you any stupid human stunts to your credit?

snip

Add the feature of a couple of hot-blooded young adventurers

How do you know they were "hot-blooded young adventurers?" What the hell are
you talking about?

Why don't you take a SWAG at what I am talking about? Although I will
admit, that at 49, he was not that young, but obviously still able to
make some stupid decisions!

to the
mix, and things can get real exciting. I did not see the Discovery
Channel special about the survival of some seakayakers, which is being
discussed on Paddlewise. If they had been opposite sex, the story
would have been on ABC primetime!

Any chance you can possibly stay on the topic of these two people that died
and your bizarre and unsubstantiated comments about them?

Any chance you can take a SWAG at what and why I am saying what I
wrote, or are you naive?

snip

You mean you used to be MORE STUPID than you are now?!?

No, now I am just perfecting it!

There's not much room for improvement.

Real people can always improve, we are not perfect like you!

This is really stretching the imagination.

Oh, sorry about that, overexertion is a problem, for some! Especially
a nonentity cyber-identity who has never done anything really, but
assimilate real people experiences. You can do everything, anything,
perfectly, with no stupid moments! Must be nice! RknMtnHootOwl OvO

Yet another attempt at a dodge.

You've made stupid satement after stupid statement in this thread.

And yours are brilliant?

You obviously like the word "stupid"! Reminds me of a little kid who
discovers a new word, and uses it in every statement they make for a
day or two, or until they learn a new word! Are you a little child?
What is your new word for today? RkyMtnHootOwl OvO
