part.

Too many witnesses are contradicting the marshals' description of the
deceased's on-board behavior.

BS. The guy was bi-polar. In a manic stage, and was probably suicide by
cop/sky marshal. We will probably see more of this, as the sky marshal
has less time to make a decision. If a guy says he has a bomb and
reaches into his duffle, I say shoot fast and true. It may be a mistake,
but I would rather the Suicide by Cop, than have the real bomb go off,
because of a wait time.

Yes, several of the fellow's survivors say he suffered from bipolar
disorder, and there have been reports he was "off" his mood stabilizers.
But we don't know the latter for fact, do we?

You haven't a clue as to his state of mind before or during the shooting,
and for you to claim the fellow wanted to die via cop suicide is absurd.

Something happened, we don't know what for sure, beyond the shooting.
Witnesses from the plane are contradicting the sky cops.

We've had enough examples of cops killing by mistake. I am not saying this
case is an example of that. But it could be, and that is what my post
stated.

Harry, no matter what, it's tragic. But, I think sky marshalls have to base
fast decisions on outward appearances. The guy didn't stop, drop his
belongings and show his hands when they told him to. IIRC, he was running
into the building. What would you have done? Let him keep going toward a
crowd of people just to see if he actually had a bomb or maybe a weapon? Let
him detonate something on the walkway thing that's 20-50 feet from a wing
filled with jet fuel?
