That's the President's highest rating since October 8.

Watching the Bush numbers in the FOX news poll on this site,
http://www.pollingreport.com/BushJob.htm
proves interesting.
Just over a month ago, only 38% of Fox News poll responders approved of
Bush, and now the number is in the low 40's. What changed, however, was
not the number of people who
disapprove of Bush in the Fox News poll (remained at 53%) but the
number of people who were "unsure". The "unsure" dropped from 11% a
month ago to just 5% last week.
Look again. The unsure dropped from 11% to 10%.
Moral of the story: you can shake the
confidence of a Fox News believer, but when bombarded with a stepped up
propaganda campaign he or she is more likely to head back into the herd
than to cross over to the "dark side." :-)
Better rework your theory, since it was based on inaccurate data.
Bush better get his number up, a lot, in the next 9 or 10 months or his
"coattails" won't be worth squat next November.
Bush's approval rating is within 5 or 6 points of where it was when he won
the '04 election by 3 million votes. Based upon how well the economy is
doing, and the improving consumer confidence figures, I predict his approval
rating will at least be where he was in 11/04.
