I think that Chevy had the195ci (Nova), 235ci (real standard), the 250ci
(only one with counter balances on the crank) and the 292ci straight six
motors in those days.
If you can identify it, you can use a part from the auto industry as long as
the belt pulley to drive "stuff " (generator/alternator, water pump) is the
same?

you could check in the local auto parts. The 292 came in chevy/GMC vans
