Default It's all About the Boat

so much so that a
few folks here mentioned how much alike the C&C and Express looked.
Still, the Express is the boxy uglified version, though faster than her

C&C cousins. I didn't know they only got to 100 hulls. That's quite a
failure and explains why so few people even heard of them. I like the
impressive performance of the Express, but can't get past the looks or
cheap looking interior.

If you knew anything you would know that Express Yachts was founded by
a few ex C&C people. That's why there are some construction
similarities. As far as design, C&C uses in house (Rob Ball) and
Express used Steve Killing. They only got to around 90 hulls because
it was the mid eighties when many manufactures went under. Hell, even
S2 left the sailboat business. No one can say they wern't successful.
As far as the thirty being ugly ..... I've never met anyone who thought
that and you look silly when you make the statement. But hey, you
claim 120 or so 35s5s was a big success story or was it that they were
worth more since they built less. Here's a factoid. Your 35s5 is not
the speed demon you claim. It's just average for a 35 footer at best.
An easy example is the Express 35: Better construction, interior that
is just as nice probably constructed better, great offshore
racer/cruiser and it rates 108. Boobie, that's way faster than your
new ride.
