Default Urgent ! How much do people pay below MSRP ?

I'm still considering buying a Tayana Vancouver 460

If I wanted to buy a motor home I would just get a copy
of the RV Rating Book by RV Consumer Group and look
for "The average percent of MSRP paid for this model ..."
to figure out a fair price of the vehicle.

Do we have a similar book for sailboats ?

If not then what do you think is the average percent of
MSRP people pay for something like a Tayana ?

Does 10% below MSRP sound about right ?

Thanks again for your help.

If a new boat is at a yard or dealer and has not sold all season and it
is December, boat dealers might discount the boat. I got my Regal that
way and leveraged the purchase of my trade-in at a fair price, lifetime
free summer storage of my trailer, and over 10% off the price.

But for any highly desirable boats that dealers expect to sell, e.g.,
J/100s, be thankful they don't ask for a premium over price with
expensive yard work and commissioning charges tacked on.
